OPEN AFTERNOON 21 APRIL 2024
The weather was kind to us as we held our annual open afternoon. We were absolutely ‘bowled over’ (!) to welcome so many prospective new members to the club. Everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon having a go at bowling, learning about the game and meeting club members who were on hand to give help and guidance. The Cock House Cup 2024
The green was perfect and so was the weather for the start of the new season on 14 April 2024. 26 members played in the annual Cockhouse Cup ladies v men match with the men just securing the victory.
An afternoon of fun, friendship, camaraderie and bowls followed by superb refreshments and a drink.

FIRST AID TRAINING 16 APRIL 2024
16 members undertook first aid skills for life training on 16 April. The club is now well covered in case of incident. The session was led by Emma who was a superb course leader. Thank you Emma.
Social Roll Ups are a great way to meet other members, play in a game, learn new skills, socialise and have a great time with a very friendly group of people
The club recently featured in an edition of Bowls England ‘The Jack’.

WELL DONE!
Peter and John recently scored a maximum 8 shots in a single end of an indoor league pairs match – a ‘Hot Shot’. All four of Peter’s and all four of John’s bowls counted and were closer to the jack than any of their opponents bowls in that single end!
It’s an award that the magazine ‘Bowls International’ give for this ‘rare’ achievement.
