What a fabulous time we enjoyed on 23 June when we hosted the Essex Vice Presidents 2026 Touring Party. Such great company and such fun despite the soaring temperatures. We were delighted to host you EVP.
15 members enjoyed a great day on 14 June 2026 taking part in the annual Ramsey Triples. All teams did well and thoroughly enjoyed the fun and friendship that is at the heart of bowls.
SUNDAY 31 MAY 2026 saw another excellent HBC event, the D&D Drawn Pairs played in a great atmosphere; competitive but fun. We also dedicated The Franklin Challenge Shield and welcomed Mike Franklin to the club for the dedication and to watch the competition. Well done to Nicky Hastings & Phil Lew, winners, and to Steve Williams and Kathy Hargreaves, runners up who will play each other on finals day.
We have recently introduced the Bowlr online system to support the running of the club and once logged in, as a minimum, a member can access:
- today’s club rink diary
- any date of the club’s rink diary
- competition information
The system will also allow members to:
- view other member’s contact details, for the purpose of arranging matches
- book online for roll-ups.
- book online for National or County matches.
- book online for Club Competitions.

OPEN DAY 2026
The weather was perfect for our 2026 open afternoon. Many club members were on hand to welcome visitors to the club and to assist them with trying bowls. A great atmosphere and some new members too – welcome!
